Pilot project – plastic recycling cycle and marine environmental impact – case study on the plastic cycle and its loopholes in the four European regional seas areas, EUCC (European Union Coastal Conservation)

The project is an European research study focused on understanding and improving marine littering management. The results of the research feeds into developing integrated coastal zone protection and management policy at the EU level. Our team was selected as a regional partner for the Black Sea area. Our main tasks were:
-information and data research and reporting regarding marine littering in Constanta port and city;
-evaluation of potential causes for marine littering;
-conduct a screening workshop with local and international experts in Constanta;
-providing local input for the database developed for the project;
