Environmental and Social Impact Assessment for Nabucco Project in Romania and Hungary

The objective of this assignment was to support the local Nabucco Country Company to prepare the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment documentation for the Romanian and Hungarian section of the Nabucco pipeline. Out main tasks included:
– EIA revision according to national, European and lenders group requirements (EBRD, IFC)
– Social Baseline and Social Impacts revision for Romania and Hungary
– Development of the socio-economic database
– Development of the Stakeholders Engagement Plan for the Nabucco Project in Hungary and Romania
– Involvement and implementation of the Livelihood Restoration Plan
– Planning and participation at public meetings/hearings with all stakeholders involved in the project
